The Beacon Hotel is perfectly situated to enjoy the wonderful Cornish coastline together with its many
local sights, walks, attractions and numerous sandy beaches.

It’s relatively central position makes it a great base from which to enjoy all Cornwall has to offer either by foot, bike, car, train, bus or boat, you can reach most of what Cornwall has to offer within the hour.

A hub for Cornwall

Close at hand is the City of Truro and it’s inspiring Cathedral, Falmouth which is home to The National Maritime Museum is only 18 miles away, discover the old-world charm of Charlestown just brough to life once again in the hit series “Poldark”. 25 miles away, explore and learn at The Eden Project, and only 23 miles away is the fabulous resort of St Ives, which is home to The Tate Gallery.

Stunning beaches

On our doorstep there are 3 great beaches, Chapel Porth, Trevaunance Cove and Porthtowan, easily accessible on the North Coast are great surfing beaches such as Perranporth, Fistral, Watergate Bay, and Polzeath to name only a few.

Sailing

If it’s sailing you’re after, then that is mainly catered for on the South Coast at places such as Falmouth, St Mawes and Fowey or on the Beautiful Helford River at Mawnan Smith and Constantine.

Those that thrive on and love the great outdoors will enjoy getting to know St Agnes’s stunning natural surroundings. Whether you are a walker, a water lover there are countless opportunities to swim, stomp, surf, paddleboard or how about striking out cross-country on horse or bike to take in the sites of our proud mining history.

Lovely people, lovely location!

My family and I had a lovely, relaxing visit. Andrew, Jayne and Nigel (and the other staff members) were very friendly and extremely helpful. Jayne even went to the trouble of buying martini glasses and ingredients so that my dad and aunt could enjoy a martini before dinner on our last night. I can’t wait…
