St Agnes is a picturesque village on the rugged and beautiful Cornish North Coast. Steeped in mining history, the village still retains a traditional and friendly Cornish atmosphere. St Agnes offers a variety of year-round activities with a beautiful scenic coastline, fantastic beaches, walks, arts and crafts, shops and a strong mining heritage.
This is the perfect place for abandoning the car and exploring on foot. The Beautiful National Trust beach at Chapel Porth is on your doorstep and there are stunning cliff tops less than a mile away. The South West path passes close by, stand on the cliff at St Agnes Head with the sea crashing onto the rocks below, and see the harsh conditions where early Cornishmen searched for Tin.
Another "marvellous" asset to St Agnes is it's relatively central position which makes it a great base from which to enjoy all Cornwall has to offer either by foot, bike, car, train, bus or boat, you can reach most of what Cornwall has to offer within the hour.
Close at hand is the City of Truro and it's inspiring Cathedral, Falmouth which is home to The National Maritime Museum is only 18 miles away, discover the old-world charm of Charlestown just brough to life once again in the hit series "Poldark". 25 miles away, explore and learn at The Eden Project, and only 23 miles away is the fabulous resort of St Ives, which is home to The Tate Gallery.
On our doorstep there are 3 great beaches, Chapel Porth, Trevaunance Cove and Porthtowan, easily accesible on the North Coast are great surfing beaches such as Perranporth, Fistral,Watergate Bay and Polzeath to name only a few. If it's sailing you're after, then that is mainly catered for on the South Coast at places such as Falmouth, St Mawes and Fowey or on the Beautiful Helford River at Mawnan Smith and Constantine.
